As much as we love Exeter, sometimes it makes for a fun day out to venture new places. And what better way to experience new adventures than within the comfort of a brand-new SEAT! Take in the scenic views on route one of our road trips… with great cars at great prices, they’re a noble companion for all your summer escapades. Using Exeter as a starting point, our road trips cater to a wide range of city, country and seaside destinations. So, depending on how much time you have to explore, there’s an adventure here for everyone.
THE 30 MINUTE DRIVE: Dartmoor National Park, Devon
Dartmoor National Park offers a scenic landscape with deep valleys and flowing rivers spanning its vast moorland. The area became a National Park in 1951 and has since attracted attention for its range of walking and cycling routes.
Perhaps this could be a great opportunity to take the bikes out for the day… our first-ever large SUV, the SEAT Tarraco, provides all the space you need to load up the boot and set off cycling!
THE 45 MINUTE DRIVE: Torquay, The English Riviera
The coastal town of Torquay boasts a picture reminiscent of the Mediterranean. Street performers ensure a lively town, packed with ambience and tourists alike. Moreover, its turquoise waters and abundance of palm trees establishes Torquay as a postcard destination.
As eye-catching as it is dynamic, the SEAT CUPRA Formentor provides a driving experience which would go hand in hand with this location.
THE 60 MINUTE DRIVE: Bodmin, Cornwall
Considered the heart of Cornwall, this historic town is far from lifeless. Rooted in rebellion, Bodmin was at the centre of the Cornish revolt in 1497. Whilst the town has mellowed slightly in later years, you need not look far to engage with its history- the execution pits of the 18th century Bodmin Jail are definitely worth a visit if you’re brave enough!
Just like Bodmin, the fifth-generation makeover of the new SEAT Ibiza pays homage to it’s legacy- a car which has travelled the roads for over 3 decades.
THE 90 MINUTE DRIVE: Bristol
A cultural hub for artists and creatives, Bristol is an effervescent city come day or night. Whether it be taking a daytime stroll along the Clifton Suspension Bridge, or raving in a local nightclub, the diversity of the city ensures there’s something for everyone.
May we suggest taking the new SEAT Mii for a spin on this particular trip… compact and easy to navigate, city driving is made all the easier.
THE 120 MINUTE DRIVE: Bath
The beauty of Bath’s 18th century Georgian architecture makes the longer drive worthwhile- trust us! Moving at a slightly slower pace than cities like Bristol, Bath proves to be a great option for families looking for a leisurely day spent exploring new culture. Visit the Roman Baths to see for yourself Britain’s only natural hot springs.
And for longer journeys, the new SEAT Alhambra proves a practical and roomy all-rounder.
So… which road trip are you set to depart on this summer?
