SMC has been selling new SEAT cars for 30 years – but from 31 January 2024, things are changing.


As many of you will know, we became a SEAT main dealer back in 1994, 30 years ago. Over that time, we have built up a huge following of loyal SEAT customers.

You may have heard or read of the changes within SEAT.

Our status within the SEAT network will change from 31st January 2024, and we will no longer be selling new SEAT cars – however, we will remain a SEAT Authorised Repair Centre and our sales department remains open for used car sales.

In our showroom, as you will be aware, we have Liam and Scott available to supply your next car. All our used vehicles are carefully selected and put through our used car programme, which includes:

  • 12 Months RAC Warranty*
  • 12 Months RAC Breakdown Cover
  • Service History Check
  • Independent Vehicle History Check
  • 12 Months MOT
  • Multi-point Check
    *Valid for vehicles up to 8 years old and up to 80,000 miles at point of activation. Vehicles over will receive a 6-month Gold RAC warranty

We can also provide finance options if required and we can take your old car as part exchange. If you are unable to find a car from our advertised stock, please let us know as our stock is changing all the time and we do have access to further cars.

If you still feel a new car is what you require, we are happy to assist in finding you the best option for your individual needs.


Aftersales

There are no changes to our Aftersales department. We remain a SEAT Authorised Repairer for warranty repairs, servicing, MOTs and general repairs.

Our service department is headed by Adrian, who most of you will know as he has been with us for over 25 years. There are 3 technicians and 2 apprentices who will still look after your cars and give you the excellent service you have experienced over the many years of being an SMC customer.

All our staff are fully trained to work on SEAT and CUPRA, both petrol and electric, with all the latest specialist tooling for these vehicles to help speed up warranty and general repairs.

Each repair is completed exactly as per the ElsaPro repair manual. This includes observance of links to further work instructions and any requirement for the fitting of associated parts. This is completed as per VW group guidelines. If you require any further information on this, please ask a member of our team.

In addition to the above, we can carry out your annual MOT, tyre and air conditioning servicing to make us a one stop centre. We have loan cars available and can arrange collection and delivery within a 10-mile radius.

We will continue to carry out works under our own SMC Service Plans and SEAT Service Plans – and don’t forget, we can carry out MOTs, servicing and repairs to all makes.
